We are currently recruiting for group leader positions at the Clare Hall or Lincoln’s Inn Fields Laboratories of the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute.
These positions offer a tremendous opportunity for an ambitious scientist to establish a world-class research programme in an interactive and supportive environment. We are recruiting at the tenure track level, but are willing to consider more senior appointments should they be appropriate.
The search is focussed on two broad fields: Genome Integrity (Clare Hall) and Cancer Genomics (Clare Hall and Lincoln’s Inn Fields).
For Genome Integrity we are particularly interested in: DNA replication; DNA damage responses; Chromatin biochemistry; Structural Biology; and Cell cycle regulation. Informal enquiries regarding this area may be made by e-mail to
firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
For Cancer Genomics we are particularly interested in: Global analysis of gene expression networks and chromosome dynamics; Computational biology: Bioinformatics, biological networks, image processing. Informal enquiries may be made by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
We will also look seriously at outstanding candidates working in any area of basic cancer biology. Appointments will be made at junior or senior level according to experience. Junior appointments are initially for seven years with consideration for promotion in the sixth year.
Our research groups are extremely well supported: there is no requirement to obtain external grant funding, there are no teaching responsibilities, and we benefit from centrally funded cutting-edge core technology facilities. Moreover, in 2015 our Institute will join the United Kingdom for Medical Research and Innovation, to be housed in a state of the art new facility at St Pancras (see http://www.ukcmri.ac.uk/)
Please note that the application deadline is December 2nd.
