New course on human physiology

John Higgins, Tim Mitchison and Vamsi Mootha are teaching a new quarter course this semester, entitled “Quantitative Human Physiology”.  It meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to 11.30 on the HMS campus; first meeting tomorrow, Tuesday March 22, in Warren Alpert 563.

Introduction to selected topics in quantitative human physiology, disease, diagnostics and therapeutics, including glucose homeostasis, red blood cell physiology, viral dynamics, and pharmacokinetics.  Course will consist of didactic lectures, review of literature, and exercises in modeling.
