Fungus that grows on whiskey

June 21, 2011 § Leave a comment

Wired Magazine has a fascinating detective story about identifying the “Canadian Whiskey Fungus”, a black mold that covered (covers?) the houses, chain-link fences and street signs of Lakeshore, Ontario, a town that is also home to a whiskey distillery.  A really well-written piece that also comes with a brief history of distillation as a bonus.  Via Not Exactly Rocket Science.
