Core-funded group leader position in cell, developmental or tissue biology
MRC’s National Institute for Medical Research, Mill Hill, London
NIMR is seeking an individual who will develop a vibrant cutting-edge research program in any area of cell, developmental or tissue biology. Preference will be given to applicants who make use of quantitative and/or technologically innovative approaches. The successful applicant will have access to core funding for equipment and consumables, research support staff, and pre- and post-doctoral fellowships. The National Institute for Medical Research provides an exciting, supportive and collaborative environment. Core-funded services include state-of-the-art imaging and mass spectrometry, high throughput sequencing and computational facilities, FACS, transgenic fish, frog and mouse facilities. Both junior and senior candidates will be considered.
This is a preliminary announcement; a formal advertisement will be published during the summer. The research conditions on offer are outstanding (core funding, state-of-the-art facilities, collaborative environment, possibility of transfer to the future Crick Institute in central London). Therefore NIMR expects to interview only exceptional candidates.
