October 17, 2011 § Leave a comment

The Biology Department at Boston University invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor appointment in systems biology (beginning Fall 2012, subject to budgetary approval). We seek a colleague applying systems level approaches to the study of cell and molecular processes. Specific areas of interest include genomics, epigenomics, and signaling networks, with preference given to candidates addressing questions in development or disease. Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant field and are expected to have postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record. Responsibilities will include establishing a research program with extramural funding and participating in both undergraduate and graduate teaching. The successful candidate will be offered laboratory facilities in our new interdisciplinary Life Science & Engineering Building, a competitive salary, and an attractive start-up package.

Review of applications will begin Nov. 15, 2011. Please submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and statements of research and teaching interests as a single PDF file. E-mail this file and three representative reprints to sysbio11@bu.edu and arrange for three letters of reference to be sent directly to the same e-mail address. Inquiries can be addressed to Dr. Frank Naya, Chair, Systems Biology Search Committee, at the same e-mail address.
