Cell and Developmental Biology Reference: IRC27831
Applications are invited for a principal investigator position in the Division of Developmental Biology to lead a new research group. We are particularly interested in candidates using quantitative or innovative approaches to obtain a cellular or molecular understanding of developing tissues. Physiology and Metabolism Reference: IRC26953
Applications are also invited for a principal investigator position in the new Division of Physiology and Metabolism. We particularly encourage applicants using mammalian models to investigate questions complementary to those of the Drosophila, mammalian and structural biology researchers in the current physiology and metabolism interest group (http://www.nimr.mrc.ac.uk/research/a-z/pm). Candidates for either of the above positions should have a strong track record of research and an ability to lead a team pursuing original long-term research goals, core support, including laboratory and animal staff, will be provided by the Medical Research Council. MRC-NIMR offers an exciting, supportive and collaborative environment, comprising state-of-the-art imaging and mass spectrometry, high throughput sequencing and computational facilities, FACS, and excellent mouse, fish, frog and fly facilities. The level of the appointment and salary will be based on expertise and experience. Salary package includes membership of the MRC Pension scheme and additional benefits. Minimum starting salary, £45,805 per annum inclusive of Location Allowance.
