Group leader position, Cambridge UK

Applications are invited for a Group Leader to lead a new research group in the Cell Biology Division of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology in Cambridge, UK. The LMB has an exceptional record of ground-breaking research, excellent resources, and outstanding facilities and workshops.
We seek someone planning bold and imaginative approaches to solve fundamental questions in any area of cell biology. The primary selection criteria are scientific excellence and potential for major impact; synergy with our existing research programmes would be an advantage
Applicants should hold a PhD and exhibit an excellent track record of previous publications with outstanding potential for independent research. Substantial core funding will be available. This appointment is likely to be at the tenure track level, although we do not rule out a more senior position for a suitably experienced candidate.
This position will remain open until it is filled; however, applications received by 6th January 2012 will be given priority in the initial selection process.
