Fellow position, Cold Spring Harbor
August 24, 2012 § Leave a comment
There is currently an opening at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) for a CSHL Fellow. This position is geared towards highly achieving graduate students who have the scientific expertise and maturity to start an independent research program immediately after receiving their graduate degree (PhD or MD/PhD). CSHL provides these emerging scientific leaders with the resources, support and environment to successfully launch their research career. Their research focus should be largely consistent with the research at CSHL, which include basic and applied approaches to Cancer, Genomics, Neuroscience and Plant Biology. Recent Fellows have studied chromatin regulation, neural circuits, stem cell function, and small RNA biology. Fellowship appointments are for three years with the possibility of an extension of one to two years for exceptional Fellows.
The CSHL Fellows program is a prestigious program with a distinguished list of alumni, including David Barford, Carol Greider, Adrian Krainer and Scott Lowe. Candidates should have completed their degree no more than one year before the start of the appointment, anticipated to be early-mid 2013.
